Acres of Hope: Description of the Water for Acres Project
Snap shot: The Acres of Hope is 7.5 acres of property that we plan to develop to allow us to reach street children, orphans, and vulnerable young girls. The government has brought power and water to the property, but we will still need to hook into these utilities, install water tanks to hold water during the times when water is not supplied by the utilities company and then distribute that water to the various buildings.
Status: Everything is set for this project to move forward, we only need the additional funding.
Needs and costs: The estimated cost for this project is $5,500 and as of November 2011 we only need another $1,000.
Additional blessings: This project in conjunction with the septic system project is critical to all of the other projects on the Acres of Hope. The Septic system project is detailed separately, but could be done at the same time.
Beneficiary: All of the orphans, street children, vulnerable girls, and poor families that we minister to on a daily basis will benefit from having water on site. All of the homes for orphans will be supplied by this water project.
